NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Men with penile curvature are more likely to develop certain cancers than others, researchers report in a new study.

 

In their study presented at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the researchers noted that they were able to correlate the curvature of the penis with both cancer of the stomach, skin and testicle.

 

The researchers reported that this problem, ie, penile curvature is widespread and suffered by many men Researchers note that these men with penile curvature are up to 40% more likely to have testicular cancer, 29% skin cancer and 40% stomach cancer.

 

The findings suggest that men with penile curvature should pay more attention to the problem, given the risks they may have, the researchers said.

 

After analyzing the genes, the researchers concluded that a father with penile curvature could pass on the genes to his son to suffer the same problem.

 

However, it is not yet known what causes penile curvature and how the infection is associated with cancer in some genes.

 

The findings do not mean intensive screening for cancer screening because of the health problems it may have on humans, but it does indicate the need for self-monitoring and any symptoms that may appear associated with cancer, according to these researchers.
